1 Look at Clarity of Expectations
Does the employee know exactly what you expect. Before you answer "natural", ask yourself this Question: "When was the last time I sat down with the employee and explained in depth, exactly the results I expected and exactly what role I expect of the employee to play in achieving these results? "Moreover," He already knows that "not an acceptable answer.
2 Look At Your Systems
Do your systems support entirely what you say you expect. Are they easy to operate. There are delays and disruptions because your systems are cumbersome. Is it clear to employees what your systems are accessible. In my experience at least 50% of all "employee problems" are caused by interference.
Look 3 At Remuneration / Incentives
Do you pay enough, the employees who consistently achieve the results you say you want? If everyone receives much the same, regardless of contribution. His poor deprived respondents in a way that discourages them, or do they enjoy the generosity of the top performers.
4 Do you have the focus right?
Are you working with a relatively minor defects that have little effect on the overall results. Years ago it was called "main subject in the minors ", ie more worried about the" dress standards "than to do the job. If you highlight minor procedural issues that cut corners in place of their operation.
5 Are they competent?
I will openly state my views. In at least 75% of cases the training will not improve the job performance. Lack of proper training will lead to poor job performance. 6 Look at what you say and do
Employees want their boss you. Some managers scoff when I say this. But it is largely true. Did you do what you say? Did you say that you demand results, but the most fuss about minor details. Do you effective maintenance schedules in place? To use another old saw "do the walk and talk the talk". You get what employees think will you not you say what you want.
7 Talk to the employee
If you have considered items 1-6, talk to the "working poor". If you thoroughly and been as honest as possible in the analysis you find that you are a "useful exchange of views will have". At least, you will focus on performance instead of behavior. That is always a good start.
Conclusion
Employees "not working" for several reasons. Managers need to be clear about what they are trying to achieve when discussing poor performance with an employee. Of course, if you have a clear performance focus days a few days you have performance issues anyway.

The Next Step $16.98 Before finding a home further north on San Francisco’s Om label, People Under the Stairs released this debut set of understated productions and steady rhymes via their own PUTS imprint. The subject matter on display is hardly unusual, taking in the requisite MC boasting (“Ten Tough Guys”), three tales of hip-hop love gone sour (“The Turndown”), inebriation out on the town (“Mid-City Fiesta”), and odes to the group’s birthplace (“Los Angeles Daze”) and their adopted home (“San Francisco Knights”). Unfortunately, the duo fails to follow up on the promise of “Death of a Salesman,” a gem of dizzying storytelling that arrives early on. Elsewhere, though the train of thought is more easily followed, the two MCs remain well above par, applying the same agile wordplay to almost everything in sight. Stark outlines of rugged, organic beats are tastefully fleshed out by anonymous walking basslines, horn traces, and ominous keyboard chords from deep record crates. These samples set the stage without dominating it as The Next Step manages to dodge most of the jazz-rap pitfalls. Ultimately however, the album falls under the category of “promising debut.” PUTS’ independent philosophy and their “true school” tag created high expectations during a time when the hip-hop underground was attempting to establish the music’s role as “art not income” (“Wannabes”).
