An area of Skin Care is often not well thought out is cleansing. During this process the skin can be nourished or further damaged. Unfortunately, the later often the case.

The outer layer of skin called the stratum corneum. It is often described as a "brick and mortar" layer because the flat shape of the cells are divided by lipid to the "waterproof" barrier that protects us from the environment. When the skin is cleaned with soap, these lipids are dissolved and the protective structure of the skin compromised.

Today there are new approaches to skin cleansing to protect the horny layer of the damage and also improve the health of the skin trophically. The addition of small molecule nutrients in the form of amino acids and vitamins to support healthy skin. Lipid replacement using omega 3 and omega-6 fatty acids provide the increase of the "mortar" structure of the horny layer.

Trophic and cleaning are soft. The pH of each product used on the skin cleansing is especially critical time. Products should be chosen that have a pH lower than 7.0 and that either advance or foamed cleaning lotions. Traditional soaps, with their high pH values damage skin. As we age be the recovery time for skin to overcome the high pH of a cleaning agent changes from hours to days.

I developed two products for skin cleansing that can be worth considering. They are:
