Paint is one of the worst stains. Why? Well, no matter what you do to paint wet cleaning of carpets, it expands. If you stain, rub and rinse, it is not matter! The paint is the spot to expand.
The worst mistake people make when trying to remove wet paint is water they use! Most household paints to paint water. When you add that breaks the water structure and the paint starts to run. The other is that they rub the wet paint and includes the backing and carpet fibers. You will then be replace the carpet. Some recommend wet paint thinner to remove paint from carpet. This will lead to the same problem as water. Paint solvents break the structure thereby widespread in the carpet fibers. This process makes it worse!
A good way to remove paint from wet carpet to carpet strippers use a hot water extractor. Yes, a hot water extractor! The difference is a hot water extractor uses water to break the paint and then uses high-powered suction to remove the paint residue. This process works immediately! The power of the machine is what actually cleans the carpet. The bottom line, you need a high powered suction to remove the wet paint well.
Here are some tips:
First you need some tools. Here is a list of the tools needed for the job.
- Wet / Dry Vacuum or Hot Water Extractor
- Spray Bottle
- Paint Remover (made for carpet) some carpet supplies can be purchased at your local hardware store. If not, try your local carpet supply company.
- Dry cloth
The size of the paint does not stain with this process. It is still the same! Here is the step by step process to remove the paint stain.
- Take the carpet solution (you bought) and mix well. Make sure you read the instructions! Most solvents should be used in a well ventilated area. Once the solution well mixed pour into the spray bottle.
- Spray the solution on the paint surface (4-5) sprays is all you need. If not, spray until you've achieved the desired result. Allow the solution a few weeks to minutes. Do not rub!
- Put the wet / dry vacuum and the use of suction to remove the paint from the carpet. The paint will be culled from the solution you sprayed on previously. Make sure the vacuum to do the work! Rub not the vacuum head on the paint stain? Place the vacuum head on the spot.
- Continue this process until all the desired results.
- Use the dry cloth dry.
